What is an HVAC/R Technician?  Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Commercial Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Technicians are responsible for the systems that control the air temperature and quality in our homes, buildings, and vehicles. These skilled technicians control the climate in our environments through the repair, maintenance, replacement, and installation of heating, air-conditioning, and distribution systems.

ATI offers the only HVAC-Excellence program from an accredited school in the Las Vegas area. Graduates of ATI’s HVAC program are fully-trained and qualified to test for an ESCO EPA certification, and are prepared to immediately enter the workforce and begin successful careers as HVAC Technicians.

The Workforce: Graduates from ATI’s HVAC Technician program are prepared to enter a rapidly growing field. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS 2017), employment of HVAC Technicians is expected to increase by an incredible 15% by 2026, creating an additional 48,800 HVAC positions in the United States in the coming years.

Graduates of ATI’s HVAC training program are qualified to work in private industry or major commercial companies such as hospitals, hotels, office buildings, or manufacturers.

Applied Skills: The HVAC/R program at ATI prepares students for careers in the HVAC industry by teaching the knowledge and skills to install, service, and repair both residential and commercial air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems and maintain EPA regulations when troubleshooting and repairing residential and commercial equipment. ATI uses hands-on, practical training techniques to teach students how to work with temperature control systems, air quality systems, humidity and refrigeration systems. Graduate’s of ATI’s program are prepared to enter the workforce with the industry-standard ESCO EPA certification.
